This was a busy day! We started with a drive to Mornington Peninsula to see the Shanck Lighthouse. If you look south, it is 1800 miles to Antarctica. When the wind blows from the south, they capture containers of air to use as the standard for testing for air purity.
Today was a travel day. We flew from Christchurch to Auckland in New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia. With five and a half hours of flying and a two hour time change, that was all we did!

Started the day at the Kiwi Birdlife Park. Saw the tuatara, which looks like a lizard, but is a separate species. Couldn't take photos of the Kiwis, but it was fun to see them. They are larger than a very large chicken.
